Who Is Ettitude?
Ettitude was founded by Phoebe Yu in 2014 while decorating her new home in Australia. She had a background in supply chain management in China, where she grew up. Having worked with large companies in other countries trying to source products from China, she knew a lot about how the supply chain worked. And she was increasingly disappointed that these larger companies wanted nothing to do with reducing waste and increasing the sustainability of their products.
Due to these issues, and having a difficult time finding a product that met her criteria of being high quality, affordable, and sustainably made, she decided to work on her own brand. She initially launched locally, but after 4 years on the market, she was able to expand the company globally to increase the global reach. Ultimately, the story of Ettitude and how far it’s come to positively impact the world and how people sleep is a ray of sunshine in an otherwise dirty textile heavy storm.

As most of us do, I like to feel comfortable when I crawl into bed. And I don’t mind a bit of luxury either. So when I heard about the Ettitude Signature Sateen Sheets, my interest was piqued.
I decided to try their Ettitude Sleep Quiz to make sure I was getting the correct sheets for my sleep style. I had to answer the 6 following questions to find out:
Yes, I do prefer cozy and lived in.
I’m personally a big fan of the silky feel of sheets on my body, and I need something cooling, since I run hot at night.
I’m more of a once a month sheet washer, unless it’s the heat of the summer. In which case, I move to every week.
I don’t really have much sensitivity to new products on my skin, so I chose the last option.
As previously mentioned, I run a bit hot. So I chose the middle option for this question.
I would love to say that I have an actual routine before bed, but I really don’t. Each day is a new day, so it varies widely.
This was my recommendation from them, which was pretty spot on.
Ettitude Sateen Sheets Feel & Performance
Due to taking the Sleep Quiz, I was confident that I was making the correct sheet choice. So I placed my order and waited patiently; sort of.
Upon their arrival, I noticed that the sheets came in fabric bags that could be reused in a lot of different ways. I’ve been using them as travel bags, which has been a nice bonus. I really like that there was no plastic used in their packaging or shipping.
I have a cooling mattress, so I wasn’t sure if these sheets were going to help or hurt the effects of that. Surprisingly, these sheets helped me feel the full effects of my cooling mattress because they are thin and breathable.
I love how soft and silky they feel every time I get into bed. These are probably the silkiest sheets that have ever adorned my bed, which I am more than happy about.
However, they are on the thinner side and are fairly see-through. I can see how them being thin could cause issues for some people. But I think this helps to enhance their cooling effect, personally.
I also have to say that I was a bit worried about the quality based on some of the reviews I ran across about having holes after a few uses. But I have not found them to be bad quality in the least. They have held up exceedingly well over time for me. But this may be due to the fact that I’ve washed the sheets on a delicate cycle every single time. This is to ensure I don’t lose the softness or quality of the fabric. Following the instructions carefully can probably help avoid some of the issues posed in reviews about holes, piling, and fading.
On top of them holding up well, I found that everyday stains from things such as makeup, lotions, etc. seem to come out within the wash easily. Overall, I really love these sheets and they are now my regular go-to for a great night’s rest.
Are The Ettitude Sateen Sheets A Quality Product?
Ettitude is a company that is working hard to create a high level of transparency and sustainability in their product line. All their products are sustainably made and free of harmful chemicals. Their transparency includes releasing an Impact Report every year to show why their products are more sustainable and better for the environment. This is currently considered the gold standard in terms of sustainability and transparency.
A big part of their sustainability is due to the CleanBamboo product they use. This bamboo is 100% bamboo lyocell, which is much better for the environment. This is done by:
• Using 500x less water
• Producing 52% less CO2 than cotton
• Uses a non-toxic solvent that recycles 98% of the solution up to 200 times to turn raw bamboo into their sheets
As if that wasn’t enough with regards to sustainability, they are plastic free in all of their packaging. And they use recycled plastic bottles to create their Down Alternative Comforter.
On top of that, they began partnering with charity: water in 2021. This is a non-profit organization bringing clean and safe drinking water to people in developing countries. The project they partnered with them on funded $100K worth of clean water projects in Nepal.
Overall, there really isn’t anything wonderful I can’t say about this company and their overarching goal to create high quality, silky soft, sustainable products.
Is The Ettitude Waffle Towel Worth It?
Whether Ettitude is worth it or not will depend upon what your overall goals are for a sheet set. If you’re someone like me, who really loves something to not only look luxurious but feel the same way, then these are probably right up your alley.
If you are someone who is really conscious of the environmental impact and overall sustainability of your products, then these are definitely for you also.
But, if you’re someone who can’t or won’t take the time to care for them the way the brand says to in order to keep them looking and feeling brand new, then you should probably choose a different product. After all, these are some fairly expensive sheets to not take care of them properly.

Ultimately, Ettitude Signature Sateen Sheets are some of the highest quality sheets on the market today. While the pricing can be a bit more than some consumers can handle, the sustainability is well worth the price tag.
These sheets are soft, silky, cooling, and just overall exceptionally comfortable. The fact that they are highly sustainable only helps their cause. The only way these sheets could be better is if they could easily be thrown into any wash and dry cycle and still come out just as soft, smooth, and wrinkle free. But until then, I’ll just keep washing them on the delicate cycle and call it a day.
