So, body planing isn't exactly new. Turns out, the Ancient Greeks and Romans had the right idea when it came to skincare. Esker's body planing tool is inspired by the strigil, a cleansing tool used by the Ancient Greeks and Romans in their Bathing Rituals. Strigils were made of metal and used to cleanse and moisturize the skin from head to toe.

I didn’t realize how much dead skin was just hanging out on my body. I mean, the first time I used the Body Plane Tool it was pretty gross (and oddly satisfying) to see how much dead skin and gunk came off my body.

Make sure you follow the instructions in order to really see a difference and get the full effect of the tool. After my bath, while my skin was still damp, I applied the Restorative Oil all over and then went to town with the Body Plane (In gentle strokes, of course). Afterward, my skin was so smooth, literally glowing, and smelled amazing.

When you actually set aside time at the end of your day to unwind and focus on yourself, it can be amazing how beneficial it is to your state of mind. It was a meditative process sitting in the bath using Esker’s Body Wash, applying the Body Oil to my skin, and exfoliating gently, stroke by stroke with the Body Plane Tool.
