First of all, these charcoal-based products feel great! The Body Wash uses charcoal and salicylic acid to reduce those sneaky breakouts and blackheads on your back and other hard to reach spaces. The blue sage and citrus scent is pleasant while the wash carries quite a fair amount of suds so you don’t need to squeeze too much out.

The Face Wash has a similar ingredient makeup which fragrance compliments the Body Wash, but it’s also extremely gentle and exfoliates quite well reducing dirt, grime and those pesky blackheads. Lykos AF™ (anti-fungal) is a prominent ingredient, slowing and killing bacteria from a typical day or the required shave.

If I had one criticism, it’s the small hiccup in not being able to swap the (oily-skin) Face Wash for the (dry-skin) Face Wash in the Bundle. I have an oily complexion so I wasn’t bothered, but men of heavy dryness would have to buy the (dry-skin) Face Wash and Body Wash separately, thereby cutting them out of the Bundle deal. Hopefully, Black Wolf resolves this issue in the future because it’s an absolute steal!

Body Scrub and Face Scrub

I’ve never been too familiar with body scrubs so I wasn’t sure what to make of Black Wolf’s new product. However after using it for a week (2-3x as instructed), I gotta say that it’s a fine addition to the family.

Made with a combination of jojoba esters, pineapple, papaya extracts, bamboo stems and walnut shells for extra exfoliation, the Body Scrub is tough on grime, but gentle on skin. It doesn’t lather up as much as the Body Wash, but it’ll leave you feeling clean and your pores fresh. The Face Scrub is just as well-crafted using the activated charcoal, but just remember to use it after the Face Wash, not before. 

Oily skin has always been a never-ending battle for me, so I’m always on the lookout for a great moisturizer. Black Wolf’s Oil-Free Moisturizing Gel (with Hyaluronic acid for natural repair) left my skin with a more even tone and less oil buildup — leading to less blackheads and acne breakouts. It even helped with the razor bump area on my lower neckline. And don’t worry, dry guys, there’s an ultra-hydrating moisturizer just for you.

But be forewarned: If (like me) you’re wanting a uniform smell out of all these great products, then be prepared for a wake-up call. The Face Wash and Body Wash have a similar fragrance, but everything else has their own unique scent which sometimes made me feel like my Black Wolf products were at war with one another. Not a huge concern, but definitely something to consider before you purchase.
