Svenklas uses organic cotton canvas for its durability, sustainability and versatility. The reason why cotton is such a popular fabric is because it is low maintenance and will last a long time if treated with care. Svenklas' canvas backpack will develop its own special look with time, and will age in beautiful and unique style. Remove dirt by wiping the cotton canvas with a moist cloth. You can also use a soft, clean brush to clean dirt from organic cotton canvas. Be gentle since hard rubbing can cause spots and thinning. The outer canvas remains unaffected by light rain showers and is weatherproof in nature. If the canvas gets wet in heavy rain, you should empty your bag and let it air-dry naturally, away from direct sunlight. Do not machine wash or dry clean. Do not use any detergent to clean dirt (use a clean, damp cloth instead). Let the bag hang dry and apply grease to the leather details once the bag has dried completely.Svenklas' leather is premium quality, but still, as a natural material it can be sensitive. Svenklas uses carefully selected vegetable-tanned leather. Take extra care of leather by keeping them away from direct exposure to water or rain as well as rough surfaces, heat and chemicals. Svenklas' vegetable tanned leather absorbs water. If it gets wet, wipe off the water with a clean dry cloth and let it dry naturally. All leather needs to be conditioned once in a while to keep it soft and supple. Apply leather grease or balm to avoid drying and cracking. Always apply a thin layer first on a small surface to test before treating the whole product. Then, take a small amount and apply an even layer with a clean and dry cloth. To get rid of light stains, wipe the leather with a slightly damp cloth and always dry leather at normal room temperature. If the leather gets dirty, clean it gently by wiping with a soft dry cloth.
