However, for all of its classic, coveted style, that perfect, comfortable, effortless button-down has yet to grow up, get real, and face the long-infamous issue of fit exclusivity.
That is, until Grayson.

Inspired by today’s generation of modern, powerful, world-conquering women, engineer-turned-designer, Audrey Mcloghlin, launched Grayson with a signature shirt, the Hero button-down, designed to flatter women of all shapes and sizes.

Why We Love Them

Simply put, we’re all sick of settling for the one-size-fits-all approach. Grayson gets the idea, and designs women’s clothes that fit women, rather than forcing women to fit the mold. Grayson’s inclusive, body-positive, practicality goes way beyond a great looking blouse — this brand wants you to feel confident and comfortable, in your clothes and out of them.

Origin Story

Engineer-turned-fashion-designer, Audrey Mcloghlin always had a love for the classic, button-down blouse. Her challenge, along with many of the women she knew, was finding a comfortable one without worrying about the gaping holes between buttons exposing unwanted cleavage (we’ve all been there). This issue along with many others (the buttons that refuse to stay in place, unintentional cinches around the hips, weird, random, oddly-placed ruching…) pushed Audrey to reinvent the button-down and design the perfect shirt for running errands — or the world. Today, Grayson continues to modernize the classic style, pioneering the first-ever women’s “power” shirt and creating fashion staples that celebrate a new generation of leaders.

The superhero, signature, cape-like, back pleat featured across Grayson's collection allows for more room in the chest area, banishing the boob gap for once and for all. With a portrait collar to frame the face and an impeccably draped hem, The Hero blouse is ridiculously flattering and also delivers an adaptive fit. Unlike stiff, boxy blouses, The Hero has flowing, feminine, and effortless style that serves up top-quality comfort, all day long. Its available in nine, ultra-soft fabrics from plush flannel to cozy cotton.

The Soul

As a female founder, Audrey had to fight to be seen, heard, and sometimes even respected. And a sharp, stylish, button-down shirt was the body armor she chose to wear to fight for her business, stand her ground, and assert her own value. Inspired by the incredible women pursuing their dreams, remaking the world, and empowering others, Grayson's blog series, Banding Together, features profiles and interviews of thought leaders; activists, entrepreneurs, podcast hosts, chefs, photographers, and more — in an effort to foster connection, meaningful conversations, and collective knowledge sharing to amplify women's voices across the greater community. In addition, Grayson has donated $150,000 to female-led organizations — and that's only the beginning.

Grayson also works hard to support the women that bring the brand to life each day, and their two-story, on-site dollhouse designed as a play area for employees’ children, does just that. After all, Audrey was building Grayson while her own daughter was just a baby, so she knows first hand that moms need all the help they can get. The name of the brand celebrates all that women can achieve — and is a loving tribute to its founder's fearless, 5-year-old daughter, Grayson.
