It shouldn’t look like a flood when you step out of the shower, and Dorai makes the bath stone that ensures that. Made from diatomaceous earth, which is similar to ceramic, the Dorai Bath Stone instantly removes water and dries instantly unlike bath mats which absorb moisture & generate bacteria. Dorai’s products has a porous texture so it can easily wick away moisture and dry in seconds. It can hold 150% of its weight in moisture and is mold resistant. And since Dorai is made from a stone-like material it can withstand more wear and tear than a traditional bath mat. Dorai’s stones come in two colors Sandstone and Slate. If stained it can be cleaned with small amounts of bleach and lightly sanded if scuffs or scratches appear.

Jason Klug and Kelsey O'Callaghan are the husband and wife team behind Dorai. In 2018, Jason showed Kesley the power of a unique material that easily dried. Realizing this material had a lot of potential, they embarked on a ‘side project’ to see if they could build a business around this material. They launched a Kickstarter and raised $70,000 to get Dorai off the ground and begin their first batch of production in October 2018. They launched their product to great success and in 2019 they expanded their product line to include kitchen tools and accessories like a Sink Caddy. Now, Jason and Kelsey are continuing on their mission to provide eco-chic products to the entire home.
