The Warp + Weft Origin Story
Est. 2018
Who doesn’t love jeans? They’re comfy, easy to wear…and too often, harmful for the environment and exclusive to certain body types. Sarah Ahmed set out to amend these failures of denim, and she did so in fantastic style. With their family a part of the denim business for three decades, a massive, eco-friendly manufacturing mill was at their service. This allows Warp + Weft to craft their denim themselves, rather than buying it as most companies do.
Ahmed revitalized her company in 2018, generating over 2.5 million in revenue in less than a year. She did this by expanding the collection of jeans, making it so every body could find a fit. Through specially sourced cotton, Lycra, Tencel, and other fabrics, Warp + Weft creates unique, comfortable, inclusive, environmentally-friendly jeans: enough adjectives that no one could resist.
