The Huron Origin Story

Co-Founder and CEO, Matt Mullenax’s, adolescent athlete skin struggles inspired him to take a hard look in the mirror (literally) and ultimately conceptualize Huron. In his early 20’s, Mullenax began experimenting with high-quality skincare products and, for the first time in his life, saw his skin transform. Without spending $70 on a personal care regime, the options for quality facial cleanser and body wash were limited. After joining the Bonobo’s team and seeing first hand what it meant to work through a customer-centric lense, Mullenax teamed up with Huron Co-Founder and Matt no. 2, Matt Teri. Teri’s expertise formulating products at mega beauty-brands The Estee Lauder Companies, Tom Ford, and Lab Series allowed him to become the science to Mullenax’s skincare business spark.
