Wolven Clothing Review: Sustainably Luxurious

We all own pieces of athletic wear that are stiff, scratchy, see-through, made from unsustainable materials, or all of the above.
Wolven claims that their recycled plastic clothing let's you slip into luxury and say no more to unwelcome panty lines in yoga class. We put them to the test, and here is what we thought.

Who Is Wolven?
Wolven is all about community, sustainability, diversity, body positivity and artistic appreciation.
Founder and CEO of Wolven, Kiran Jade grew up in a diverse family. Her father and mother shared different religious beliefs and Jade grew up practicing both.
Jade’s love for clothes began at an early age when she would shop for fabric at local markets with her mom to create their own, custom clothes. Jade “loved the idea that she could make things custom that actually fit”.

After attending art school, Jade and her partner Will Ryan began creating a brand that celebrated diversity, while being sustainable. Jade’s goal has always been to “provide a home for everyone to feel confident and empowered, while respecting the planet”.
One of the ways Woven celebrates diversity is in their designs. Whether it’s a photo taken in the wilderness, or a henna pattern used in family celebrations, the designs are inspired by beauty all around the globe.
Woven products are sustainably made with either Oeko-Tex certified recycled P.E.T. or carbon neutral modal. These fabrics aren’t just eco-friendly, they are incredibly soft and ultra durable.
Wolven Clothing Review: Feel And Experience
I’ve been on the hunt for a matching workout set for a while, and I decided to take the plunge with the Wolven Turmeric Pocket Leggings and Yoga Top.
I wore the full set multiple times over a few weeks, testing it out at the gym, grocery shopping, and lounging around on the weekends.

For workouts, I mix it up between boxing, spinning, weight lifting, yoga, and the Wolven Turmeric Set moved with me through it all.
I felt like I could use my full range of motion without being restricted, and because the clothes are so soft I never felt any rubbing or chaffing on my thighs or underarms.
Wolven Clothing Design Details
I was instantly drawn in by the turmeric color of the clothing. I love anything bright and colorful, but unfortunately a lot of colored workout gear I’ve tried in the past ends up being see through.
Luckily, I never noticed any panty lines, even while working out. And I shockingly never got any sweat lines either, no embarrassing booty sweat in sight.
I also was concerned that the leggings in particular would lose their buttery softness after a few washes (like so many of my leggings in the past, RIP Lululemon). But, to my surprise these leggings were just as soft after weeks of washing as they were out of the packaging, hallelujah!

My favorite design details are the pockets and extra high waist band in the Turmeric Pocket Leggings. I carry my phone for music to the gym, and the deep pockets keep it in place wherever I go.
The high waist on the leggings holds my midsection without being uncomfortably tight or leaving marks. It definitely sucks you in, but isn’t so form fitting that you can’t do any physical activity in them.

I ended up loving the Turmeric Pocket Leggings so much that I bought a few more pairs for myself. I also bought a pair as a birthday gift for my mom, and she says they’re the softest leggings she’s ever owned!
The Wolven Turmeric Pocket Leggings and Yoga Top really feel like butter when you wear them.
This winter I found myself opting for my Wolven bra top under sweaters and outerwear because it’s just so much more comfy than my other bars.
The Wolven leggings and bra top have honestly become my go-to outfit for weekends because I go from lounging at home to working out and running errands.
Is Wolven Clothing Quality Product?
Because they care about the environment and the negative impact clothes have on landfills, Wolven creates clothes that are meant to last. The Recycled P.E.T. and carbon neutral modal materials used are very durable.
Comfortability is also a top priority for Wolven. So, all of their fabrics are breathable and soft. They are supportive, yet stretchy providing all day long comfort.

Is Wolven Clothing Worth It?
Wolven products come in around the same price range as other top competitors (Athleta, Girlfriend Collective).
The care that is put into each garment is exceptional. From sustainably sourced materials, to ethical work practices, to inspired designs, it seems every aspect of the Wolven business has been thoughtfully executed.
Each garment is breathable, odor resistant and quick drying, which means less washing. Because garments can be worn longer before washing, less water is used and garments last longer.
Wolven products are very durable and have shown no signs of wear after 6 months of use.
Overall, Wolven products are well worth the investment.

I’m definitely a Wolven fan after testing the Turmeric Pocket Leggings and Yoga Top.
I’m already a repeat customer, having multiple pairs of the leggings since my initial try on, and I wear the bra top under t-shirts more than I wear regular bras now.
I appreciate Wolven’s sustainability mindset, and it just makes you feel good when you know the clothes you’re wearing are helping reduce plastic in landfills (it blows my mind that clothes can even be made out of mostly recycled plastic)!
Overall, I’m stoked to have finally found an athletic wear brand that I love. Soft material, moves with me, environmentally conscious, and female-empowering, consider me a part of the Wolf Pack!
